He often speaks of how he can't be bothered etc so perhaps that has something to do with it although that's hardly fair on those that he best to qualify.
It wasn't a particularly exciting opening day, but that was to be expected. I would have preferred to watch matches like Maguire-Xiao and White-Maflin, but sadly we are always stuck with the big names against outsiders on TV in 1st rounds. There will be some more of that tomorrow morning with Robertson against Burns, but at least we also have the option of watching Trump-Yu which should be a little more exciting.
Not sure what they are showing in the afternoon, but I wouldn't complain if it was Ding-Hull and Liang-Cahill. Higgins-Lines could also be a good one. I have a feeling we will get Selby-Burden though. :smile:
Good win for Un-Nooh. Selby played rather poorly today, but it was kind of expected that he wouldn't be particularly sharp at the start of the season. It happened to him in 2014 as well, before he went on to win two ranking titles in the second half of the season. :smile:
