      This is brutal......
4 tons in 10 frames and a 147 in there as well. His other breaks are all frame winning or near frame winning. Kid's on fire.

I don't think even Stephen knows what cue he's playing with . .

I just saw that Trump wasn't using the recent Tyrone cue. Had a 1 piece ash with plain ebony butt

Hasnt Mags slipped in the rankings? Maybe he is a bit hungrier now to keep his spot, so has his game head on, whatever the reasons I'm loving it, he's my favourite.

                    Weird day today.

Some really poor snooker played between Robertson and Day in the morning. I blame Robertson for that, because Day seemed to start fairly well before Robertson dragged him down to his level. A good chance for Day to reach the quarter-finals now, with Mark Williams also going out in that section of the draw.

Not much snooker to enjoy this afternoon, with Maguire and Trump trashing their opponents, but at least they played really well.

Also, I must take a quick moment to criticize Philip Studd's commentary again. He kept referring to Zhu Ying as Peggy Li throughout the World Open, even though they look nothing alike, and now he's done it with the referee in the Murphy-Maguire match as well (don't know her name myself). It's a little unprofessional. Also, I'm not sure describing Mei Xiwen as "the young Chinese" is appropriate, considering the guy is in his mid 30s.

                      1. Why don't pros stay around after their matches and sign autographs? Judd signed a few but many others were wanting things signed... Do the pros have a designated area outside of the arena to sign autographs?

                      2. Maguire is playing with a maple shaft cue, does anyone know what cue he is currently playing with?
Some do stay at the table and sign, saw this earlier in the week.
"top" stars ROS, Trump, Ding I have not seen do this.
ROS is renowned for not signing much.
At the last Newport event, he disappeared out the back so he did not have to mix with the hoi polloi.
Some events do have a place for fans to get autographs, some don't.
SM cue latest - it is supposedly an Exquisite cue after recent, after a GBL, a Cook, a Parris, etc. etc.

He starts this event at #20, I am sure he is trying his darnedest to get into the top 16 again

Not found it myself yet. It was not on a TV table, unless someone recorded it with their mobile-device and uploads it, we probably never will see it

I see Trump is using a new cue. Looks more solid (less whippy) than his old cue. He doesn't get the same reaction with cue ball...

noted earlier this summer, he supposedly is using a Tyrone (Martin Daly) cue now
