    • Ronnie is totally out of form, that's somehow acceptable. u just don't lost from 3-0 vs White if u are a top player.

Talking of cues, Maguire is currently using a Maximus as confirmed on their facebook page, anyone claiming otherwise I think is trying to get more orders!
Maximus really making their mark now in the game. 5 of the top 32 using their cues, not bad going.

Trump definitely ditched the green veneer cue, it was terrible, way too stiff and lifeless. Didn't win a match with it, to be fair these hobbyist cue makers that start out and get popular, they may make a nice looking cue with great precision when it comes to splices but until they actually have years of selecting shafts and knowing how they play they will never be a match for the experienced cue makers.
[bold] could say this of Maximus
I thought the Maximus was a previous cue for Maguire? Do you have a link to their facepage with Maguire please
Who are the five? I currently have two.
A lot of players are trying out new cue makes recently
        Up the TSF! :snooker:

I see he plays with the side grain up, I bet you have to have that running perfectly straight not to put you off.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

Judd used to play with his badge facing outwards on his old cue too. He must like it that way.

Still does from the match vid from yesterday, badge is clearly facing out (playing lefthanded).

Just personal preference, along with 99% of all aspects of snooker (cue sports), personal preference, what you have gotten used to, nothing in snooker is absolutely right or wrong for ALL; whether it be which ball you focus on at time of strike or you have flat up. down, or to the side.

I don't think Ronnie travels well, could also be said about some others too I think as the standard has not been great, lot's of easy balls missed.

Yeah true, maybe not prepared or match fit, couldnt be assed, who knows lol.
Fair play to Holt though, he will love this win over him, might even take the pee on twitter !!!
