I certainly hope this event stays on the tour, the venue is great for Snooker
Yes I've really enjoyed this tournament overall and what a great final to cap it all off with. I was convinced it was Ronnie's at 8 - 6, rarely does he let it slip away from such a position. But hats off to Judd, as daffie said, it was a very mature performance, one of the best I've ever seen from him.

    Can't argue with that.

It was said on the tv that they didn't think Trump had it in him from 8-6 down to win and I must admit neither did I . Someone on here said it was a very mature performance and I agree with that, Trump was attacking but not wreckless ,deserved the win and it was great to see another of the younger generation not just fold when Ronnie gets in front.

snooker definitely the winner this week. Good to see snooker in another country and being well received. Shame about the flies and the table being a little slower than usual! Don't know if anyone noticed but there wasn't a digital readout of the table temp and I wonder if they tried playing without heaters this week?

Pleased for Trump, hope he kicks on now, really hasn't won as much as his talent deserves. New cue and a win, gotta be a big confidence boost.

Dream final pairing delivered the goods . Well done Judd you have a talent and style the televised game needs.

                  Congrats Judd for the title.
Still don't like his style of playing and his personality, but overall his game this week was pretty impressive. Among the best I've seen from him.

That was an enjoyable final. It wasn't as high quality as their Champion of Champions final two years ago, but it did have the drama of their UK final. It was over in no time as well, surely one of the fastest 9-8 finishes ever...

Well done to Trump, he played some good stuff this week, and it would have been a shame for him to miss out on the title. He had a few sloppy moments, not winning frames in one visit when he should have done, and he also had some bad luck with kicks and fouls at the wrong time, but he played a good couple of frames at the end of the match when he needed it most. Personally I would not put this title on par with the best-of-9 events, but there is no denying that Trump had just about the toughest draw possible here, and the atmosphere in the final really put the pressure on. David Hendon described it as "his greatest triumph", which is laughable really, considering he is a former UK champion, but it's still a good win for him.

As for O'Sullivan, for once it was he that couldn't quite reproduce the form from earlier rounds. He gave away too many chances in this match and it cost him in the end. He didn't really get any run in the last three frames though. In frame 15 he split the reds and one went in, and a frame later he played a similar shot and finished so awkward that he couldn't get position on a colour. I have a feeling he would have taken it had he got a decent scoring chance. Still, nice to see him in good form, and I reckon he will be a big danger in every tournament over the next two months.

As much as I dislike best-of-7 events, I have to admit this was a pretty good one. We had the top players coming through and playing some good snooker, and we had good attendances for most of the week. I suspect this one will be hard to beat as the best short-format event of this season. I'm sure snooker will return to Romania next year, and I hope sense prevails and matches are lengthened, but I'm not holding my breath on that one...

Hopefully we see some decent snooker next week as well.

Great standard despite the table conditions, kicks and bad contacts all round but Trump still managed three tons thanks to generous pockets. Imagine the scoring if they'd played at the Atacama snooker club, would've been like watching snooker 9 ball

17 sec average shot time from both players - that is laudable. Stop clocks are a must from here on in.

exceptional clearance from judd in the final frame. Let's hope this is a springboard for him.

I know Judd has effortless cue power, but securing the frame using nothing but blue ball? So many power shots under so much pressure. Simply outstanding.

Short format events are not my favourite but Trump just about deserved to win this one and it should give him a bit of confidence in his new cue. I think he is the only player ROS worries about these days. As for shot clocks, using two of the fastest players in the game as a benchmark argument for them is misinformed. The only reasons the WPBSA would introduce them is to time matches better for ad breaks and to add a sense of artificial drama for viewers who know little about the game.

Oh I think Selby must at least have him thinking he needs to play well.

Actually I'd make Selby the favorite against Ronnie most of the time.
