      • That was an important frame for Fu, otherwise the spectacle might have ended from a competitive point of view. I couldn't see Fu recovering from 5-1 in a million years.

        • Brilliant red for Higgins, soul destroying for Fu. That shot Higgins played earlier to disturb those difficult reds are what won it for him, very clever shot.

          Edit: Another twist

That would be a result and would set tonight up perfectly. Higgins has played some great stuff, but you can't take anything back from the tenacity of Fu to claw his way back when he is under a lot of pressure.

              • Match slowed Higgins getting tired. Fu playing better when 'In'

                • Fu cool under pressure. 4-4 just now.

                    • I feared the worst after the opening 3 frames and at 4-1, I just thought the match would be a formality and be over in a few minutes this evening. That referee nudge and convo with Higgins definitely has affected him since. Then Fu, I know he's been building breaks for fun, but he was fantastic in his safety game. I really never knew he had that sort of level in him, when it was at 4-3 he hit world class safety after world class safety with a few snookers thrown in there. Lets hope tonight is just as special.

What's this nudge and convo? I must've missed it.

It was an accidental coming together of the ref and Higgins after he'd played his shot, then the ref muttered something to him and Higgins I think misheard him and asked what he's saying. Then the ref said sorry, but at the point in the frame Higgins had a potential century on, he'd already won the frame but missed a routinish red into the middle afterwards. At the time he was playing faultless stuff but this seemed to break his mindset.

Am at the mach front row ref said sorry to Higgins as he thought he was going to walk Roud him them think that turned it all around
                            Current playing cue Trevor White
                            3/4 ash cue

                            • It definitely put him off his shot, when the frame was conceded straight after Higgins took a break shaking his head. He wasn't happy about it. I think if the refereee had said nothing it wouldn't have been an issue. What's the atmosphere like Stevie, sounds like Fu has half of the crowd on his side, I guess half are Rangers fans

You enjoying the match so far Stevie? There were only seats right at the back when I tried to get tickets, couldn't really justify a 6 hour round trip to watch 2 stickmen playing snooker.
