  • A shame that the fluke in the deciding frame proved quite decisive but well played Fu and Trump. Its such a brutal sport now, a bit of run is often the deciding factor and Judd didn't get the run today.

He's on fire atm isn't he. I think he was ahead in every stat apart from the safety success. Very well played.

He fought back an played very well.
both played very well. It's a shame that one of these two great players goes out so early in the tournament.
Unfortunately that's the sad part of this cruel game !!

              • No best of seven, no flat 128= far better quality.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

                  • What the hell is that 'knock' I keep hearing (sounds like someone tapping a skirting board with a small hammer)?? It's driving me nuts. I suspect it's a loose floorboard because it happens whenever the player or ref are hovering along the black cushion. It also probably sounds a lot louder on the tv than it does in the arena, but it's annoying whatever it is.

                    • Got to have massive respect for Mr Big shoes Fu! (Banter term Marco, big in uk sport : )

I'm becoming a big fan due to the resilient nature of his game. Many would struggle with confidence issues after the pots he misses in the initial stages.

                      Well done, a great performance.

Do you think Judds beginning to struggle with form under pressure after so many losses and the "tag" of best player not picking up more major wins?

No disgrace, God knows I would. Kinda feel he could do with some good luck in getting over the line. I don't want to see this becoming an issue for him, the game needs players of his style winning more.

                        • Marco Fu is definitely someone I cheer for. Even more so now that I learned he developed his game in Canada as a teenager.

I'm a big fan of the old Canadian contingent that I grew up watching on TV, big Bill had such tremendous cue power great to watch. The games of Cliff and Kirk brought a great global theme to the game. Hope the game regains the heights once seen with Canadian players in the mix and Winning big tourneys.

That would be great. Unfortunately, there is very little exposure to the professional game here. I'm watching the Masters on YouTube 'cause there's no other choice. I remember Thorburn in his heyday. Quite the innovator.

Well , we've got this forum and I doubt I'm alone in saying let's use it to spread and rekindle the game in all areas. I'm 49 had a skate board when I was 13 never saw them again for years now they are everywhere in force. It's just cycles, snooker was always the main cue sport for Canadians it will grow again. ; )
