  • Look up the definition of choke in a dictionary and you'll see a picture of Hawkins.

        • What a game, the final will have to be great to beat that. Didn't fancy O'Sullivan against Hawkins but reckon tomorrows final will be tight now.

          • Well, I wanted drama today and we certainly got it in this match.

The balls were actually quite favourable when Perry got to the table, but to clear up to the pink under that pressure was superb. Great fightback from him.

Yet another loss for Hawkins from a dominant position then... If there is one player you just know will get involved in a decider even when the score is 5-2, it's Hawkins. He just struggles to get over the line so often...

I can't see Perry giving O'Sullivan much of a game tomorrow, but things can happen in snooker...

Try watching his interview after the match. I'd say him admitting there was nothing really wrong with his tip other than him not being happy with it is all the evidence you require.

                • I have been travelling around the country lots unfortunately on work related matters and Theresa May stress induced dismay, but have kept up with the snooker as much as I could, I disagree with what some posters have said, I actually reckon the final is between two great entertainers. O'Sullivan is the magician and Perry is the man that has stuck at it instead of second thoughts like Murphy has had (no-one believed that, not even himself).

Well that's one account but I'll let you off all the same :-)

Mark didn't specify his exact situation but him relying like that to me implys a very similar condition otherwise why would he seemingly approve Ronnies?

                    • The Hawks shot selection from the Brown to not disturb or drop on the red on the side to pot in the middle was quite bizarre. Over thinking again.

                      • The three best snooker players at the moment are in my opinion Fu, O'Sullivan and Perry. This tournament shows this. Selby was woeful in this tournament, he can score big when he's 100%, but everyones human and he needs to be in purple patch mode to match the more naturally gifted players.

                        • I'm just hoping Perry can make a match of it tomorrow, no preference on who wins it really.

                          • Has anyone been watching the last 12 months of snooker? Perry has the ability to whitewash O'Sullivan, he's not a newbie on the circuit or someone who can't live with one attempt clearances. He's a great player who's been steadily improving to becoming one of the best. Don't write him off.

Watched jimmy hammer him in a final qualifier match a few months ago and he looked like he couldnt pot a ball, but seems to have pulled his socks up, cant see him getting close to ronnie though, seeing its a final, and not rd1 of the world

The semis of the masters has enough pressure on it, 5-2 down to 5-5 and a difficult break in front of him. I reckon he's matured well and he'll see this as an opportunity and not as a challenge. It won't be straight forward for Ronnie at all.
