It's a great event and pros seem to enjoy playing in it (most of them anyway!) although I agree it's a bit of a joke that it's a ranking event. Becomes very important for those players from 64 down which takes some of the fun out of it.

I would not mind it being a 15 second shot clock for the whole time but a 10 minute limit is just too short. Make it 15 minutes or 20 minutes.

I'm going to propose this at our leagues next AGM, all frames to have a 20 minute time limit. I played this week and reffed the next frame which took over an hour, what a ****ing borefest with neither player over 20 after all reds were down. True they were both over 70 years of age but come on, get a move on. I was thinking 'Soylent Green' all the way home

The Holt vs Thomond match was a bizzare one. Anyway Holt was going to concede before the foul right? What will happen if Thomond accepted the concession before the white went in off?

I would say balls have to come to rest before concession could be accepted ?
