It's hard to pot balls with a Chimpanzee tea party going on in your head

      • So including Marco Fu there are six chinese players at this years World Championship. A new high for them.
On the other hand there is only one Welshman in Ryan Day. A new low for Wales at the crucible.

Why did Welsh players' performance so poor this season?

                • Another late finish for fergal O'Brien. He's finally through. No one will fancy playing him in the first round . Very slow

The O'Brien/Gilbert decider lasted two hours, three minutes and 41 seconds. The longest frame in the history of professional snooker.[QUOTE]

did he include the toilet break or not?
Walker and Foulds said that the match clock is stopped for the break they had near the end of the frame.
                      ?

                      • Dave Gilbert must be a very angry farmer tonight. Although, if the shootout wasn't a ranking event he wouldn't have picked up any ranking points at all that weekend. 2 hours though, was it a re-spot?

                            • Fergal's pre-shot routine was: get down for the shot, get up again, walk around the table, get down again... At least three times before each safety. He even took 4min for the last red, brown and a pretty straightforward safety on the yellow. Selby vs. O'Brien would be a cracker with the winner possibly playing Ebdon...

That is incredible - surely the ref should have warned him for slow play? Or was he asleep?
