  • Lots of mistakes from both players.

    • Bingham is the one who made fewer mistakes and wins 6-4. A pity. I would really have loved to see Zhou in the final.

I was hoping get for an all Chinese final
but Trump was too strong for Cao and (as mentioned above) Bingham made less and capitalised on the errors presented tonight. Zhou played a good game but I think the occasion got to him a bit
Trump v Bingham final - again
        Up the TSF! :snooker:

However I would disagree with my cue being the same weight as Bingham's at 16.6oz.
That's a lovely weight to play snooker with imo.
Can't be doing with a lumpy weight around the splices one little bit.

          Taken from their site...

"This Stuart Bingham designed Snooker Cue, is the current cue he’s using on the Pro Circuit now and has a few different design aspects in it to create more stabilization throughout the butt. The Changes in the cue reduce the flex seen in players cues in the butt area, like some of the higher end pool cues have done. Stuart’s cue features Abalone inlays and the use of a Turquoise inlay design. ( Stuarts Cue is an ash one Piece) STUARTS SPECS
          58 Inches
          9.5mm mm ferrule"
17.3 inch balance point- from butt end to point
16.6 ounces ( that’s his cue weight!) If your not playing on no 10 we suggest 17-18 ounces
          29.91mm butt
Is this the start of US pool cue design influencing snooker cues?

This may be beginning to make more sense to me, I.e. The Chinese perception of the sport/ game. Genreraly in the Uk snooker was a was a game invented by Gentry, that became a working mans sport assisted by popularity post war. So basically what I am thinking is, China hold the game in such high regard (GREAT!) but it may possibly affect their immediate challenge because they have elevated their expectancy to a level equal to say... Wimbledon in tennis? Whereas here our expectations are slightly lower?

I am wondering how many guys on here like a design like this on here?
Not for me, I think it looks a bit "cheap".

does he still have this sight right thing built in
thought I saw it a few times, but can't be sure.

If he gets results/win tournaments with it others will follow for sure, just like they're doing with the Taom chalk.

I'm not so sure about that. The chalk thing you can see is being marketed heavily by the players, I think its just another money making trick to con the public. Why suddenly are numerous players taking to twitter to post pictures of their tables and showing the condition of the cloth and talking up the chalk!

Next thing Bingham is going to be talking about his cue no doubt. There is clearly an agenda here and players are being paid to endorse these products, hence the heavy advertising and mentions of it on Eurosport and the players themselves on social media. Don't be fooled!!!

Yeah. We shouldn't forget the guy is only 19 (soon to be 20). It's good for him to get that far already in tournaments to gain experience. I'm pretty confident that Zhou is going to stay on the tour and will be in finals sooner or later.

I actually think that for the final today it was better Bingham won, cause I expect him to be more of a challenge to Trump. I think actually pick Bingham to win today. 9-7.

Jeez this cue is just plain horrible....loks like a cheap pool cue you can buy in a pub for 10 quids. Yikes! Certainly not my taste......

and btw, since when do you see "flex in the butt area" on a snooker cue???!! Ridiculous.....

Oh, yes, didn't think about I picked Trump as the winner before the start of the tournament.
Still, this morning I just would have gone with Bingham out of a feeling. (So it will probably mean that Trump wins now ;-) )

Bingham missed the chance to go with a lead into the evening session.

I know of some sites, don't think there were any snooker cues involved though :biggrin-new:
