I know I'll be in the minority but am a fan of best of 7's. It has completely opened up the field because everyone has a chance of doing well. Against the top boys in the old days they could give the lesser player a two frame start and still win. This is not the case in a best of 7...
I can also get watch a match knowing it won't take up too much time of my working day.

Zhou Yuelong reaches his first semifinal by beating Anthony McGill 4-0.
I'm really interested in how far the young Chinese can go forward this season.

go to www dot snooker dot org, punch results and it should give you some youtube links to all the matches. I often miss them because of time change. Its a good site, saves all the searches to try and find it with commentary. Cheers
I try hard, play hard and dont always succeed, at first.!!!!:snooker:

Is it just me or does any one else think that John Parrot as commentator is very annoying to listen too. First he is way to insulting to the players performance. I wish I was good enough at digital manipulation, I would record all his comments and use it to commentate on one of his matches, i think he would get a message that he his not the god he thinks he his. Cheers, Just a little venting...

yes I know Hermund's snooker.org site (have helped him out in the past) but I do prefer watching on the big TV instead of the - relatively - small VDU

If Jimmy had taken his own game seriously in 'that' world championship final JP would have amounted to an average player at best. Thanks to Jimmy, he can spit whatever dribble that come out his mouth and be taken seriously...
                    So I blame Jimmy White!

                    • Cao's body language/attitude atm must be manna from heaven for Judd.

                        • Nothing much Cao can do when Trump is in this form. Well played.

                          • If Zhou wins today he will become the youngest finalist at a ranking event since Ding Junhui at the 2006 Northern Ireland Trophy. I'd love him seeing to get to his first final, but my guess is that Bingham will prevail today.

                            • Bingham playing with a McDermott made cue. Hideous inlay design around the butt. Hope they're paying him lots. It's $1300 for a replica and you can spec it to suit but can't go less than 18oz.

They don't say you can't, just suggest you shouldn't.
However I would disagree with my cue being the same weight as Bingham's at 16.6oz.
That's a lovely weight to play snooker with imo.
Can't be doing with a lumpy weight around the splices one little bit.

"This Stuart Bingham designed Snooker Cue, is the current cue he’s using on the Pro Circuit now and has a few different design aspects in it to create more stabilization throughout the butt. The Changes in the cue reduce the flex seen in players cues in the butt area, like some of the higher end pool cues have done. Stuart’s cue features Abalone inlays and the use of a Turquoise inlay design. ( Stuarts Cue is an ash one Piece) STUARTS SPECS
