Must've been coming a while, if the rolling prize money is at £40,000.

I think Liang is the only player in the world who would celebrate a 147 after potting the pink.

To me, it wasn't as big a deal as I assumed that it was going to be when I heard about it.

I thought it'd be more along the line of him missing a red, hitting the black deliberately, and it went in.

Just from looking at that link, admittedly on mute, it just seemed like he had a brain freeze moment. Thought he was potting a red and not a black type thing.

No wonder I had a hard time finding info about it.

          I don't like that personally.

He celebrated before the title was won in Manchester last year.

Setting himself up to look an idiot.

Yes but hitting the red meaning he knew he would be potting the black surely means a deliberate foul ?
Again as I said I can't view that video for whatever reason so could be wrong

Well in his after interview he said he played it intentionally when they were talking about he knew he would foul and the discussion in the studio was jimmy saying he knew his opponent wasn't the same level as him and did it to avoid a long safety battle and would he do it against Ronnie ding maintained he would have

In that case, if it's deliberate, then I think it's a bit off. (Just my opinion.)

I also have trouble believing he'd play that way against a top opponent. So seems disrespectful of his opponent too.

His reaction was priceless, even a bit to much maybe. Could be the most emotional player on tour. I also remember his celebration after his English Open win last year.

do you know when this pink foul occurred, frame/score?

found it, for those that missed it.

Really difficult to say if he potted that black deliberately. Won't judge Ding for this.

He admitted he did it deliberately

Well, then I'd say he didn't act correctly.
