    • Hardly vintage Ronnie, quite a few unexpected misses and Jack actually got the highest breaks in frames 1 & 6. But a decent win all the same.

      The fast and the furious,
      The slow and labourious,
All of us, glorious parts of the whole!

I sometimes feel he’s almost embarrassed when playing people he likes or knows. I’ve felt it this before when he’s played Ding. Kinda like the cat playing with the mouse getting a little bored then nature intervenes and he goes for the kill.

        • Watched live yesterday at Barnsley.
Enjoyed the day, 2 Ronnie matches, Trump match, Robertson, Kyren Wilson too.
          Saw a lot of centuries.
In the Ronnie Higgins game, I don't know if you can make it out on the TV, but Higgins has a right shake on, in his cueing arm when he holds the back pause. Has anyone else noticed it?

          • So it's Wilson against O'Sullivan in the final tomorrow then, normally you would say "unless McGill has anything to say about that" but he seems to agree. Cracking match, first time I've seen Ursenbacher play, impressed.

Did he say something to this effect in an interview?

Yeah he said if he draws Ronnie he'll probably get beat, because Ronnie's been playing so well. I don't really think he's just going out expecting to lose though, he can't be.

Wow, what a thing to say. Reverse psychology?

                            • Strange he broke of poorly today, yesterday I am pretty sure he had his break off nailed and got the single red and had it covered or safe-ish.

Along with Judd in his matches, he was the only person I saw playing what Ronnie called a perfect break off in his video clips.

Still got to pot the long reds when left them and Ronnie's long game was great today, those two missed blacks could have cost him and but the brown that McGill missed after clearing up cost him dearly.

Nice to see Ronnie smiling afterwards in his interview and he brings his lad down tomorrow, be nice to see him win again.
