Genius gets the title.
great tournament realy enjoyed !! the best matches in this tournament, imo:
Ronni vs Jack Lisowski
Ronni vs Anthony McGill
J Trump vs Jack Lisowski
Incl final
Some quality snooker we saw there , that's for sure !!
The best break :
That 50 break in frame 9 from Ronni* ( potting that blue to get that red off the cushion ) and than clear up the table .* Just Unreal !
*Time for the celebration. I'm gonna* drink as much as I can.

That shot to get the red off the cushion was unreal, I think that's what really sets Ronnie apart from the rest, the little cannons and flicks he plays always seem to work out.

Well , To me :
whether he wins or loses is irrelevant, tbh.
I see a talent who plays every shot with so much feeling. He feels the shot (something i can'nt describe tbh).
This sounds crazy, but it's almost like he communicates with CB.
Every time I see him play, he reminds me of Alex.
And that's what makes that guy so special.
It's my personal taste, though. Each on his own !!
Anyway , I'm gonna take off guys . Have a good night every one !!

Ronnie's been class all week, and like above said once his long pots go in the other still don't have much chance.
98% percent in a final, six balls missed and four in one frame I think they said.
I imagine his tournament pot success must be above 90% but I don't think it was mentioned.
Seen some awesome matches from Ronnie over the years but this level reminds of the Masters 2014 when he wasted Walden 6-0 in a hour and the Masters 2007 when he did the same to a young Ding in the final 10-3 I think.
Interesting to hear him say he had taken his foot of the pedal after getting back to the top, I wonder if he meant over the world final loss to Selby when really he should have won 3 WC in a row.
He has mentioned in passing on TV trying to get back to world no 1, that seems very unlucky for this season or next due to Selby's points lead but maybe after that.
A nice run of form from now till new year's could see him win a few more ranking events plus the CoC again and of course the Masters.

Would be great if he won the UK with this performance.
I enjoyed this win more than the Masters. There he gritted it out but this was done in style.Last edited by Sasuke92; 22 October 2017, 08:04 PM.

When it’s one sided because both players are at the top of their game, but one of those players puts in one of the best performances of their life (and that’s saying a lot!!!), it’s not dull.

Because that's the way this sport works imo, once you are sat in your seat there is nothing you can do watch.
It's not like Wilson played badly, he just made some loose break off shots and missed a black to win a frame.
I would happily watch century break after century break with a few 90s thrown in, rather than 19 frames with a 70-40 scoreline.
Of course if both players were making centurys it would be even better but Ronnie was too good for that today, and most of this week.
Imo one of his best weeks in the last ten years, and I look forward to some more in the next few months.
If you didn't enjoy watching this match, you are missing enjoying a master at work.
