  • Get the feeling Murphy has got a significant advantage every safety battle they go into

      • It all seems to come down to safety at the top level, funnily enough that's why I don't think either of these two can beat Ronnie tomorrow.

        • Well played Smurf. Not his biggest fan but appreciate his play when in decent form as tonight.

Hope to see a bit of grind tomorrow with Ron.

          • Disappointed with that result. Luca fluffed too many chances towards the end.

Thought he played a few strange shots toward the end and he wasn't quite on it.

Cannot see anything but a hammering for Mr Murphy unless he goes up a gear.

                • All in all a decent last 4 frames for Murphy, as much as Brecel has improved he has a bit to go on his shot selection. Selby must have played below his average to have lost, I didn't see that match in fairness.

Thought Murphy played a couple of strange shots as well. Fluked the green and couldn't see what he was trying to do and then got away with putting the brown near the green pocket.

To be fair though, he was the one that pulled away at the end so to the victor, the spoils.

Interesting to watch. I think Luca has a bit to learn still. He has the talent and determination, hope he watches this match back himself, I think it will help if he has the propensity to learn from it. He played a few wrong shots at the wrong time in my opinion that could have made all the difference. one or two looked like club level punts. At top level, thats all the difference.

                        Can't disagree.

At that level one iffy shot can change the momentum which is everything.

Would be nice to know whether he was that fussed about his cue, I would have though it must have made some sort of difference.

Yes indeed, class not to mention it but could possibly explain some of the "punts" in a go for it kinda way.

                              • Well I would normally put Shaun in the never beat Ronnie club, the last time they met at the masters or world's was it was almost a walkover for Ronnie.

Shaun played well in the second half of his match and I enjoy his attacking style but with the previous and the current form Ronnie is in can't see any other result than a win for Ronnie.

3-10 odds online, while not a dead cert I thinks it not bad odds.
