By this stage in the competition just 4 years ago, we had around 450 posts on the thread. Don't know what it means, if anything at all, but I find it a bit sad.

Agreed. Enjoyed that match very much. Anthony has quickly become one of my favourite snooker players. Glad to see John come through in the end...for exactly the reason you mentioned.
