I personally think chances would be pretty equal between the two of them if they meet.

        • Disappointing morning then, as the two Chinese youngsters failed to hold their own against the two favourites. Should be a better session in the afternoon, with four of the more experienced top players involved.

          • A shame with Lyu Haotian kept off the table so much by a Selby playing superb pressure snooker.
Lyu had some chances but too late to make a difference to the result.
            Up the TSF! :snooker:

            • It seems that Selby has cranked up the low risk snooker....

I have nothing but admiration for anyone who can find a way, ANY way, to win when they're struggling for form. It's easy when it's easy, but when it's hard it can be hell!

                    • A 91-84 frame score, that has to be one of the highest ever. Lovely frame it was as well.

just watched this frame (3rd) (a bit behind with the record ) and it was a good chance for Allen to claw one back
                        Up the TSF! :snooker:

I personally think Selby played superb stuff. I don't think he missed a long pot the entire match and put together some cracking breaks along with some top notch safety. Its great to see him regain some form and 'flowing'.

A very good one. Sadly after the midsession interval there were many errors, but therefore you could really grip the tension on the table.
