Don't know what's happened to me in my old age, but I honestly can't watch close matches when it involves a player I really want to win.
I have to flick channels for 15 minutes or so, and then check back, as seeing the score updated in such a way is less painful than watching it unfold.
I can understand this. I don't even have an overwhelming favorite in this match (though I have a preference for Williams), but it's such a nailbiter, I hardly can sit still.
You mean Higgins? I sort of guessed that, but I asked because I don't understand what it has to do with me thinking I can influence the outcome of a match by not watching.
"Kryten, isn't it round about this time of year that your head goes back to the lab for retuning?"

Glad it's not just me. As stupid as it sounds I think I'm going to have to record the rest, and then fast forward through to the final few balls (providing they're Mark's).
