Kudos to Jimmy Robertson for showing no nerves and playing a good standard in his first ranking final. It will be interesting to see how he responds to the pressure that will certainly build when he gets closer to the finish line though.Last edited by JimMalone; 7 October 2018, 12:44 PM.Comment

So 5-3 for Robertson after the first session it is. Should be a good base for the evening.
I think Perry set himself under pressure to much. So far in his career his opponents in Ranking finals had been Stephen Hendry, Neil Robertson, Mark Williams and Ali Carter. This match against Jimmy Robertson must have seemed like a golden opportunity to him.
He made plenty of bad mistakes early on, but seemed more relaxed, once he was far behind and suddenly had not much to lose.Comment

Disappointed that Jimmy is only 5 - 3 up , had chances to be a lot more .
Hopefully more of the same from him tonight .Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

Not binned but some players are using triangle chalk; maybe they prefer a kick to a miscue; )

What are the commentators on about the Perry didn’t see the plant......Perry looked at it previously as he was looking at a 3 ball plant . Think Perry made a mistake by not looking round the table .Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !Comment
