I agree with you about Barry Hearn, talks straight and Ronnie and co can pick and choose their calender already, and if it doesn't go to plan can enter a few more to try to boost the points, but first round losers at least need their expenses for even if you don't make it as a pro it's wrong to drop off the tour in debt with so much more money now in the game.
Spread it around a bit Barry, I know you're not a socialist but be fair, these young lads at least aren't staring at a games console all day, they're having a go and need to pay the rent and maybe wouldn't be tempted by match fixing.

Interesting chat with BH. He's an intimidating man but speaks a lot of sense if you ask me. I can see why the players have grievances in some areas, but I'm inclined to go with BH's 'It's not as simple as that' argument.

They also spoke about slow play, and what might be done to prevent it, mentioning in the process that a referee did in fact warn a player for slow play this week. Does anyone have any details, or better still a clip?

NB: Hope Tom Ford comes through his match. At this stage It's him I'd like to see go on and win the title.

Scroll back a couple of pages. You're not alone! I actually choose to watch the other match (even though I wanted to watch Allen Vs Maguire) just to escape him. And even that was a short lived relief because they switched to Allen Vs Maguire when coverage of it finished on the main channel.

Totally agree it's everything and you explained it very well ! i couldn't explain it properly last night, so summed up with he was driving me nuts......lol you can tell he gets on the nerves of the other commentators as well.
To be fair though i've always found him annoying he's just that sort of person really, he's a great player no question but just something about him i can't explain.

He is insufferable. Like he is trying too hard with his adopted Clive Everton tone. Worst commentator ever. Dennis barely even said anything, was no doubt wishing Murph would STFU.

Pleased i'm not alone, just thought i might be getting old and grumpy, I think they should trial ordinary people snooker fans etc doing the commentary or do a goggle box type thing where they can watch us watching the snooker and commentary, not sure they could have shown me last night with all i was saying about Murphy though.......lol

As I have typed before he should be making it clear that all players do not need to enter everything - for a while I have thought that a certain new pundit was losing Qualifiers having made a token gesture to enter so as not to annoy Bazza.

I'll never understand the logic behind players having family members in the audience during big matches. Okay, so some may feel genuinely comforted by their presence, but isn't the pressure they must already be feeling enough for these people, without that horrible notion you're letting others down, too, if you fail to prove yourself?
