  • So how is "Cahill" pronounced? The announcers and referee are saying kay-hill just like the retired tennis player Darren Cahill, but I read that the normal UK pronunciation is kah-hill. How does James say it?

I would have said the normal pronunciation was Kay-hill - I have a feeling it's Irish though, so it probably ought to be kah-hill, but then they haven't mastered Ken Doherty's surname yet so it's a bit of a stretch for any others.

      • Given that snooker is a sport you'd think the governing body would have some sort of medical support, especially at the showcase event!

Meh, really depends on your definition, seen plenty of people say its a game, personally i'd agree with it being more of a game than a sport. Cliff Wilson also was of the opinion it was more of a game really.

Wonder whether they've even managed to master his first name ....

                • Interesting interview with Shaun Murphy. He praises Robertson and then talk about being bullied at school.

They used to take a percentage of the players' winnings into a health care programme and it seemed to fall apart when Chris Small had to retire due to ill health and either got a very small payment ie nothing. Not heard of anything since.
                    Up the TSF! :snooker:

Before the tournament O´Sullivan was favourite with Robertson as no. 2. Reflects the season well be my opinion.

                      • Are players allowed to postpone their match due to health issues like MJW's?

                          • Fair play to Shaun Murphy.
Comes across as a very decent person in the interview.
Good luck for the future Shaun.

                            • Got a load of work done early doors so I could settle in for the conclusion of the Selby Wilson second round game. Looks like it's going to be a real scrap to the finish
