Not good to have someone sitting in front of you with a hat on!

Prices for front row seats are just ridiculous now. all VIP, 4 to 5 times they usually were. i guess a lot can't afford to go regular now and have to pick and choose which games they want to watch

There's a couple there this year wearing a variety of "Vegan is great" t-shirts. They seem to have been every day so far.

They can afford the front row seats as they don't waste money on expensive burgers and steaks. Or leather trousers.

There are two women spectators I see at every top 3 tournament and they always stand out because they are always in prime position front seats and have multi coloured hair. Maybe they have blended in but I've not seen them this year and it feels like something is missing from the crowd.

do you mean the "Two Marys"? Yep they do go to several events (Coventry, Llandudno, etc.) but not seen them at Sheffield, maybe the prices put them off - it does me (as well as all that travel, etc. )

Also, I've not seen the Uncle Albert lookalike this year, who always used to stand by the table in the Winter Gardens and often had some kind of medal around his neck.

I've added a link to a pic of him

He was around last week, though only saw him chatting to staff near the purple/red doors.

Out of curiosity- how much are the tickets to the entire championship? I’ve always wondered!

I would imagine it’s pricey but nothing too over the top? Considering putting in holidays at work next year and going for it...if the price is right

when I did look at Crucible prices many years ago, I could go to the whole week of the Welsh Open for less than all sessions of the Final.
I also would be interested in the prices now.

I hope you get to go one day
