I was wondering the same, has he always twitched? Seems to be doing it all the time.
No, he hasn't always been doing that facial twitching. He used to shake a lot more on his shots ith his head but this facial twitching seems to be within the last 2 years and slowly building. Whatever the issue is, it 100% affects his game and I hope he starts to address it. I maybe in the minority here but a full flowing Mark Selby is a joy to watch.

I won't remember it for the commentary, jeez they put an insomniac to sleep.
Too right. I hope we never hear Bingham in commentary again. However, Phil Yates is still at his over the top theatrical comments. When Ronnie was playing, he said the most embarrassing one ever "If rests could talk.....it would be saying 'I'm being picked up by Ronnie O'Sullivan'". Jesus wept.

Full flowing Mark Selby he flows like a bloody glacier
Speak up, you've got to speak up against the madness, you've got speak your mind if you dare
but don't try to get yourself elected, for if you do you'll have to cut your hair

Deary me. Another one that thinks the game must be played at Ronnie or Judd's pace by every player otherwise its boring.

Next one will be what the cue-ball thinks before Ronnie strikes with deep back-spin
I enjoyed watching Ken Doherty (wasn't he well groomed ), he should have done better IMHO. Amazing that Ashley Carty has just won 10% of his career earnings, hope he goes on to bigger things.
Snooker is a game of simple shots played to perfection, Joe Davies
Not sure what you are watching Billy ………..Trump , Robertson & Wilson are a few that spring to mind , that quite clearly haven't had their haircut .
Yes, but they're in the minority. Can't remember the names because I've never seen or heard of most of these players, but many are sporting what are clearly fresh cuts.
"Kryten, isn't it round about this time of year that your head goes back to the lab for retuning?"

I cringed. I mean physically cringed. Not even Dominick Dale could muster up a response to that one.

He is at it again. "He missed that blue infinitesimally" (whoever says that word?) and "James Bond had Dr. No, Nigel Bond says Oh No". What a bell end Phil Yates is.

"snooker fans", if it isn't trump or Ronnie they're not interested.
Selbs was in decent flow when he knocked in his maximum against me a few years back! He's a joy to watch in practice absolute machine. I think people forget, he's struggling but he's still what, one of the best 5 players in the whole world?!
Not to go personal, I will omit the player's name as my question is general. I have watched for the first time xxxxx playing, in two different matches, and I was surprised in a negative sense: relative to what we are used to see on TV, poor shot selection, very poor positional play, missing easy frame-winning chances... maybe it was the pressure of going live on TV, or the effect of lockdown non-training, or the usual bad day. But my question remains: how "far" is the low-tier world tour player from the excellent club player nowadays? I am asking because I saw an enormous difference between xxxxx and, say, the world top 16 players.... perhaps less than the difference between xxxxx and the top 16 of a good local league? Let's say xxxxx is any player ranked 80-128. What do you think?
(Just to reaffirm, the question is not arrogant: I am a very bad player, far away from top 16 of any local league, and I can only dream of playing like xxxxx. I am just curious about the distribution of skills in snooker, and your perception of it)
I beat Ashley Carty 3-1 on a star table 3 years ago at SWSA (gonna miss that place)... I'm a good club player and have taken frames off half a dozen pros but they're one off practice knocks/small format matches.
What separates the real elite players from the lower tiered players isn't just ability, it's also mental strength and consistency. The top top players are incredibly consistent.
The match between Ken and Carty last night was terrible, i'd genuinely have fancied beating either of them but i'm absolutely miles apart from their standard.
