In order to try make 6 Red thier own the thailand organisers and the IBSF are busy thinking up new rules that I think ruin the game and take it away from snooker.

No.1

• In every stroke, the object ball must enter a pocket or any ball must hit a cushion. Failure to achieve this will be considered a foul. If any ball -- including the cue ball -- has hit a cushion at anytime during a shot, it should be deemed as a legal shot.

No.2
After any foul, the opponent of the defaulter has 3 options:

• Can ask his/her opponent to play again from where the balls come to rest;
• Can play by himself from where the balls have come to rest;
• Can claim a ball-in-hand if the ball or balls on are left snookered by the defaulter and can play from anywhere on the table.

Anyone for a game of 6 Red POOL!!

If 6 Red was ever to get more popular it needs to keep the original rules, the normal club player wont have a clue what is going on!

Should be interesting to watch however in Thailand , I'll keep looking for "Earl the Pearl" to walk in and break off!
