my thoughts on the matches are.........

    Friday March 7
    10.00 & 16.00
    Joe Swail v Judd Trump
Nothing Against Joe Swail i like him but i hope Judd wins and makes another apearance at the crucible. But It wont be easy although swail not playing well i expect him to give trump one hell of a match but i think trump might edge it 10-8 or 10-9

    Matthew Stevens v Rory McLeod
cant see mathew not beating Rory so mathew for me

    Ian McCulloch v Liang Wenbo
wenbo is a touph little player but Ian's experiance will prove the telling factor

    Marco Fu v Alan McManus
this looks like straight forward win for marco on current form but i have a sneaky fealing that Alan will create a shock result....

    Saturday March 8
    10.00 & 16.00
    Stuart Bingham v Adrian Gunnell
50/50 match either could win but my gut feeling sways towards bingham

    Nigel Bond v Barry Pinches
another 50/50 match from the class of 89 but pinches not playing well and down the rankings so i think nigel will win..

    Gerard Greene v Mark Davis
start of season id have said easy win for greene now though its different but i think greene will edge it 10-7 or 10-8

    Mark Allen v Ricky Walden
i think Allen Will Edge it 10-8

    Sunday March 9
    10.00 & 16.00
    Michael Holt v Michael Judge
i think judge will win this one

    Dave Harold v Mike Dunn
another 50/50 match but i think harold better breakbuilding will be the telling factor

    Barry Hawkins v Andy Hicks
hawkins looks like hes playing well again but hicks is class but out of form i say hawkins just..

    Anthony Hamilton v Scott MacKenzie
hamilton will be 2 strong for mackenzie in this one..

    Monday March 10
    10.00 & 16.00
    Jamie Cope v Fergal O'Brien
for me one of the matches of the round. youth v experiance...on this one i think fergal will win it just..

    Mark King v Jimmy White
well to this one i hope jimmy wins but i cant see it the presure will be 2 much and mark will win

    Joe Perry v John Parrott
for me perry is 2 consistant for john at the moment so a perry win

    Dominic Dale v Liu Chuang
Dominic's experiance will overwhelm the young man but he will come again...

    so my qualifiers are---

    Judd Trump
    Mathew Stevens
    Ian Mcculloch
    Alan Mcmanus
    Stuart Bingham
    Nigel Bond
    Gerard Greene
    Mark Allen
    Michael Judge
    Dave Harold
    Barry Hawkins
    Anthony Hamilton
    Fergal O'Brien
    Mark King
    Joe Perry
    Dominic Dale

    We Will See lol

I am hoping you are wrong about Judd and King! (No offense intended, of course)
      But only time will tell

id like jimmy ,judd trump and swail there but thats not possible with swail and trump....but i think Trump will gain more from going there than swail but that is a 50/50 match though....

With so many great matches here it is a shame all these guys havent allready qualified, or that they dont broadcast from the last 64 stage !

The Swail/Trump and White/King matches in particular are far too intriguing not to be televised !

Having failed (so far) to get tickets for any of the matches i wanted to see at The Crucible this year I'm going to have to try to get there to see these matches.

Knowing me ive probably left this too late too, but can anyone here comment about the Sheffield institute where these matches will be played ?

Has the final qualifying round been held here before ? And what is the seating capacity for each match ?

dannyd0g: Yes, I think the final qualiyfying round was held there last year as well.

                  Edit: Yes it was. http://www.thesnookerforum.com/board...08&postcount=2

Also got this from their website: "Qualifiers will take place in the Badminton Hall where four tables will be set up with seating for up to 300 spectators."
