As a matter of interest, there are a potential 7 débutants this year.
As well as McLeod and Liang today, Ricky Walden and Adrian Gunnell could do it tomorrow, Scott MacKenzie on Sunday and Jamie Cope (who is the only 17-32 player who has not appeared at Sheffield) and Liu Chuang on Monday.
The record for début making at Sheffield is 9 in 1984 and 1994, while in 2006 Barry Hawkins was the only one.Comment
