Mark Allen wins a close battle 10-8 with a century. It seemed to be a good quality match with lots of decent breaks. He was never behind in the match, but Ricky kept hanging in. Well done Mark.

I was reading an interview with Ian McCulloch in which he claimed he was almost certainly going to be in the World Championships and bla bla bla generally sounding very arrogant about his match against Liang.

Funny that 24 hours later, he got hammered 10-5.

Someone get a filmcrew round to Graeme Dott!

I expect hawkins to come back and win this match, it will be a bit of a surprise if Hicks went on to win.
