Do try and visit some of the nightclubs in Sheffield if you can. My favourite club is Josephines so you could give it a go if it's still there which it was in 2003 when i last visited Sheffield for the World Championships

Do find a Rileys and play some snooker when you have a spare session!

Anyone know of any decent bands playing Sheffield in the last week?

I don't know about bands, but I'm staying in place called Harley's and it seems to be very loud place every night

A few good tips for you. Remember to switch your mobile phone on to loudest ringtone possible, you don't want to miss a call. take a bag of sweets and crisps, preferably those which you have to take of the wrapper. Crunch away!

Best tip, take a good camera with you and take loads of photos, especially when the player is just about to take the shot, preferably with a bright flash.

If any of the stewards threaten to throw you out, just say, well it was alright that the crowds in China could do this, so why not here!

I'll arrive in Sheffield on April 27, and my first visit to Crucible will be a day later.

                          * If in a car, DO NOT park in the city centre; you probably won't be able to afford the home trip.

                          * DO have a big breakfast for the early rounds. Nine frames from 10:00 are likely to finish around 2 o'clock; the arena has to be cleared and refilled by 2:30; another nine frames might well take 4 hours and the same thing will happen between 6:30 and 7:00. Breakfast might be your last chance to eat till the following morning.

                          * Got a ticket missing? DO enquire at the box office, they take returns and you might well be lucky – especially just after a big name has gone out.

                          * Remember to turn your phone off after returning from the interval. Reminders are given only at the start of the session.

                          * First week? Don't bother with an umbrella. We rarely get rain before the middle weekend of the championship. (In 2007, there was no rain till the first day of the final.)

                          * If you take the advice in my previous point, DO NOT contact me if it rains. It's not my fault you left your umbrella at home.

I'll be there until the end of tournament. Of course, if I light the candles, then I suppose I'll be leaving more earlier.
Maybe we can find another way how to recognize each other.
