Referee for the 2008 World final is?

Does anyone know who will be refereeing this year's final as i have been unable to find out.

It won;t be released till around the semi finals, but saying that laster there was a article about Eirian Williams in the program and he done the final last year.

It would be Jan's turn, but I think it does also go on the performance of the referee's through out the year at all competitions, this is why Paul Collier has the role of a referee assessor.

I think we may be seeing a new female referee if not in this competition but next season.

Chamberlain misses out

Alan Chamberlain should have been handed the duties. It is debateable whether Verhass will have too much muscle and authority and what effect this will have under pressure situations for the players. You can feel the tension when he referees Ronnie's matches and Ronnie may make the final. Chamberlain's unassuming presence would be ideal for a climactic match like the World Final. It's important that the players can relax under these circumstances

She is great and easy on the eye, but it'll probably be at least a couple of years before she referee's a World Final. though i think she is ready now to show any doubters out there who do not think she is capable.
