The run of the ball O'Sullivan has had in the last session against Hendry and the two today is crippling. They say the luck evens itself out but whats the point in getting luck when your 15-3 down or whatever.TSF World Champion 2010

O'Sullivan snookers Carter behind a blue on the top part of the table; Carter's escape has just put the red on the yellow pocket and pottable, which Ronnie clinically finishes. O'Sullivan's break is stillborn after he can't pot the green into its own pocket.
Carter pots yellow - 16 point lead, 25 remaining.
With green and brown, he may have this frame secured. He cannot pot the blue on a long attempt and Ronnie returns to the table looking for snookers.
Ronnie sends the pink to the baulk cushion but a pretty double by Carter gives him the frame. 7-3 now.Last edited by TheStranger; 4 May 2008, 07:50 PM."And I'd give him my right arm to have his cue action - poetry in motion."

Yeah I agree but isn't it always the way. Hendry had a fair bit of run against Ryan Day when he was struggling, now Ronnie has had most of the run in his last two matches. Run might even itself out over the course of a tournament but it certainly plays a major part in an individual match or session.

What appeared to be a relatively routine long pot by Carter is interrupted by the red cannoning off the blue.
He has better luck on another red and starts a break, after a safety attempt by O'Sullivan that left the long shot open.
Carter pots the green to extend the break to 4. That's where it ends as another red to the same top right pocket (bottom left on the camera!) gets jawed.Last edited by TheStranger; 4 May 2008, 07:56 PM."And I'd give him my right arm to have his cue action - poetry in motion."

After an awkward split of the pack, Ronnie uses the spider to extend his break to 54.
He leads 69-4 with 67 points remaining. The break ends at 86 with the frame secured for the Rocket, and he now leads 8-3, just as predicted earlier.Last edited by TheStranger; 4 May 2008, 08:03 PM."And I'd give him my right arm to have his cue action - poetry in motion."
