What a clareance from Ronnie! Looked like he was going to lose the frame after liu made 59.
Ronnie 4 - 3 Liu
didnt think the clearance was anything special at all. the 4 reds were all out in open play and the colours werent awkward. its a finish that hed get 49/50.
ok it was good compared to what hes showed so far today, but it still wasnt anything special at all IMO
Shame this match cant continue as it's getting very interesting indeed! Liu Chuang has done well to keep with Ronnie but the real test will be tomorrow for him as i'm sure Ronnie wont be making the elementary mistakes he's been making today
"Statistics won't tell you much about me. I play for love, not records."
Doherty is 6/1 - I might float a few quid at it (not too many, maybe just a couple of grand )
I think he has a chance and 6/1 odds are fair - He clearly needs to win at least three of the first four frames. If he can get back to within two frames, it could get interesting.
Liu Chuang's proved that he's a great player and to be going into tomorrow's session 5-4 down, there's no shame in that. Still think Ronnie's going to win it though.
O,Sullivan appearance was strangely weak. Maybe he feels guilty after China's delirium? Sadly Chuang presumed only half of chances. With better form he should lead clearly ,just like Wenbo.
Ronnie's winning break in the 9th was quite special. Apart from that, a few lovely safeties and plenty, but plenty of mid-range misses.
Chuang's a courageous fellow. Beautiful way to recover from 0-3 down, lovely!
The Ronnette side of me is wondering which pill would be more bitter to take: narrow defeat by Liu or demolition by Williams.
:snooker: <-- I swear, that's the best smilie that i've ever seen.
More on topic, Liu doesn't seem to get affected by losing (first three frames of this afternoons match) unlike Ding, who does take things to heart quite a bit. As Dennis Taylor's only too keen to say this season- 'The confidence of youth' is certainly showing through. I think it's going to be a 10-6 win to Ronnie though.

Don't worry - as per above comment, I think Murphy and Maguire are both great players. It's hard to translate being sarcastic over email! But having said that...
I do love Joe Swail - great guy and character and of course from my homeland, but I'd be amazed (pleasantly so!) if he was to win. He may well get to the quarters or even semis and have a good event.
I was starting to worry everyone on here had gone completely mad altogether!!! Good to see you have some taste
Ronnie will be happy playing at only 50% and leading. He'll be fired up for Williams in the next round
