Higgins lost it completely, the red to the middle.

But Mat played a bad shot as well

agree, he has lost his way a bit, though MS has played well tonight.

Higgy off and running in frame 13 though....wonder..will it go to a decider tonight?

If 7-6, we could go all the way, but 8-5, I cant see it happening anymore

agree its less likely. MS has won the first half session 3-1, so he will look to win the first 2 after the interval to unsettle JH a bit again...who knows

and 3-1 to hawkins at their break

Yes, lets hope for another 3-1 next 4 frames, 9-8, and in with a chance.
I am not to bothered who will win, but I think Mat deserves to be back on a good roll. He needs this win more than John.

Higgins - not at 100 % percent - has enough quality to finish this match.
But great performance from Stevens anyway.
I saw that going differently in my mind

Yeah i think Steven's has missed the boat after losing that 13th frame

pekmez...changed it again, but not back to the one before

PTS...agree MS needs it more, but Higgy i feel could win the tournament though, even though id like to see him do so, i dont think MS has anywhere near got as much chance. i like both, though higgy has been more of my fav....both nice guys and great players

Yes, so difficult to favour one. But I feel if Stevens goes out, its the end of his career. And thats a real shame.

ps. Has that avatar played with the electricity?

Good match indeed - Stevens showing a lot of character in a first round against one of the best in the wolrd - above expectation - cool

agree Wim, its been all it was billed as so far.

good decision to bring both matches back at the same time to avoid noise disruption.

Terry speaking some good comments from the box too

I think it's very harsh to say Steven's career is over if he loses. He has shown today he still has the ability & talent to be a big threat to anyone still
