  • Carter played really well in this session, a lot better than he did against Hawkins. If he could play like this the whole match he should beat Murphy.

    • I was so surprised when I saw the score in the Murphy-Carter match
I hope he can keep this up!

          Unfortunately that's true
Lacking the "killer instinct", but still GO ALI

          • Television's failed me, and broadband is being dead slow ): Hope it gets back up in time for Hendo's second session at 7.

What's the current standings between Murphy and Carter?

Carter's performance may inspire his friend to do the same tonight

                  • I can't wait for tonight's session - can Hendry hold his act together (after all blows in recent years I'm still worried he might start to miss the easy ones)?

Pizzas ordered, favourite arm chairs put out, beverages poured up - let the match begin!!

Can I visit you? Pwease?! Snooker & vindaloo = ideal evening.

As for Carter, he was actually playing similarly well last year, up until the quarter final against Selby he was virtually flying (sorry, all out of bad puns). In hindsight I would say that it was Selby's slow play that kept him from reaching the semi. I have a very vivid mental image of a knackered Ali Carter, waiting on the stairs, midnight at the Crucible, whilst Selby was walking the table, looking at every ball from every angle.

I would say, though, that it seems that Ali has been bossing the table a bit more this time around. A lesson well learnt last year, perhaps?

Ah, yes. Back to here and now: Hendry! MTFH!!
Das war ein FLUKE! Ein Glückstreffer!

                          • And Hendry takes the opening frame of the 2nd session. Leads now 7-2.
