Any point in just turning up to Sheffield

Hi Everyone,
well as usualy i forgot to get tickets to some of the sessions for the world championships. Every year i say to myself i need to get a booking form and get some tickets and i either forget or something else comes up. This year is no different but i was wondering is it worth turning up to sheffield and watching some sessions on the screen, i believe there is one outside, Is there any chance to pick up some tickets on the day to watch some matches ? Its probably a long shot but i'd really love the chance to watch some live snooker just for the experience not really bothered about what matches i get to see. I am off work this week and would plan on going on tuesday,thursday or friday.

depending on the point in the tournament, and who is due to be playing, theres usually some tickets available. if not the big screen is an option, as well as taking in some parts of sheffield near to the crucible. good luck if you try

I'm not sure if it's the same this year but the Cuezone has always been free to go into as well. It looks like they've got the studio in there this year so it'll probably be busier than previously.

They normally film a lot of bits and bobs in there so a lot of players go in to do their bit. They'll be an in house pro taking on all-comers, usually Jimmy Michie but it might be someone else this year.

Dont know about you guys but i find it a little distracting with the studio being in the cuezone this year with what's going on in the background and noise etc

Surely you can get tickets. I did not have the final session of the final, but a member got me the session today, from the box office!! I received a confirmation by text this morning!

i went on the first day and was able to get tickets for a possible meeting between selby and murphy QF3 so i would say at the moment it is still possible

Just had a look. On the sheffieldtheatre website still plenty of tickets available for the wednesday matches and beyond.
