Can Jimmy win it at last ?

I suppose it is hoping for a fairytale but can Jimmy White actually win the world title this year ? I'm not sure what the bookies think but I don't suppose it's very likely but it seems Jimmy disagrees. Have a look at this interview

You have to believe in your ability to win matches and tournaments, otherwise it wouldn't make sense to go out and play.

Having said that, no, I don't believe that Jimmy can still win the WC although I would be very happy if he would.

Jimmy's too good a player not to have a thread dedicated to him and asking this question. I love Jimmy but no longer in-love if you know what I mean; too many parties and late nights years ago when he really could have won, too much pressure now for his temperament to cope with.... who could.
Jim always seemed to find a way out of winning; whether it be a great lead to lose, too far behind and to lose or a close match that he couldn't step up a gear.... and then to lose, albeit to world class players. Too many examples to illustrate; but the black off the spot to bottom right at 17-all in '94.... aaarrrgh.
What could we do if we were Jimmy's mentor or manager.... could Ray Reardon do a job on him?
Like austrian_girl I don't think he can even if it's the 'easier' half he's still got Ebdon & Murphy to move out of the way.
