Very intelligently, I stuck a 2nd class stamp on my SAE this year, so haven't got my booking form yet. (I couldn't find any first class stamps lying around at the time.) So hopefully I'll be on time to get tickets for the 2011 World Championship.

Well I am sitting here beside myself!! The calculus king sent his SAE with a SECOND class stamp on it!! Ho! Ho! Ho!

Definition: First class stamp: Overnight delivery pretty much guaranteed.

Definition: Second class stamp: As and when we (Royal Mail) can be bothered!

When it does arrive davis greatest man you had better pick Steve's first round match if you really want to see the old stager in action! This is not the mid-eighties...

Thank you for your concern lagermike. I have just returned home and opened my booking form.

I am pleased to see that "early applications for session tickets are welcome but they will be dealt with on a random basis after Wednesday 10 January 2007." I am trying to decide now whether to submit an early application or just to wait till Wednesday 10 January 2007. There must be loads of time.

Ooops, I nearly missed this. Will you be watching Jimmy play in this year's World Championship? I've never been to Pontin's in Prestatyn myself, but I'm sure it must be a nice place.

(PS It does pain me to write that, as I would be delighted to see a Davis-White final.)

Come on boys! Bring it on! Its a long time ago we had a clash between The Davis fans and LagerMichael. I always thoroughly enjoyed those discussions on the old board! Pity SDAVISBEST has gone! He was the ultimate moron! (not you, davis greatest)

I'm sure those discussions can be resurrected. The only difficulty I have is that Jimmy is my second favourite player, which puts me in a rather uncomfortable position in having to ridicule lagermike.

Lagermike's number one is a certain Mr. O'sullivan nowadays. Change of tactics.

Irrespective of what the form said, I suspect (and I sincerely hope not to have to eat my words here!!) that any application's which arrive at the booking office within the next two or three days will be successful.

Lagermike's snooker history is as follows:

1986 until the mid-nineties: Major Jimmy White fan.

Mid-nineties until present day: Major O'Sullivan fan.

I would probably put Ronnie as my fave player simply because he has not disappointed me time and time again. I know a true fan should follow a player through thick and thin but I'm fickle!

A great crucible match up which history has so far failed to produce is O'Sullivan versus Davis........let's hope for them 2 to meet in the final then davis greatest man!!! If this did occur, surely it would be tantamount to snooker armageddon!

If you want to see Ronnie, I suggest you book the first half of the afternoon session, match 8, on 22 April. Mark on your form that you will only pay for 5 frames, because that's all you're likely to see.

Alternatively, you could indicate that you wish to pay for the whole session, so that you can move over to the other side and watch Match 11, where a certain Mr Davis will be playing.

I suggest The board should make some additional rules regarding the mid session interval. In case Mr. O'Sullivan plays, the mid session interval is taken after 5 frames. Saves the punters waiting 15 minutes and watching him walking off again amidst play. I am certain if Lagermichael will add this request, appropriate action will be taken to please all Ronnie fans.

Actually, the Crucible will not provide such headache for the Association concerning ticket holders being shortchanged.

Because it has a raiasable dividing wall, the crowd will not have to move and their tickets would still be valid anyway should their match finish first.

Unless the one on the other side is in its final session and is already finished by then...
