Looks like a good day for the seeds so far.. With the exception of Paul Wykes, who has just lost 3-10 against Alex Borg.

Roy Stolk was beaten 10-2 by Tian Pengfei, but the biggest defeat of the day was Dermot McGlinchey's 1-10 against Lee Page.

Stolk lost 10-2 in the end to Tian Pengfei. In m opinion, this chinese player is the best of the rest after Ding so its no disgrace to Stolk.

Be intersesting to see how Jimmy gets on in his qualifier. Anyone know who he plays?

Jimmy will play the winner of Jamie Burnett and or Paul Davison / Peter Lines. I am guessing Jamie Burnett will get through and he will be no walkover for Jimmy, it will be a very tough match whoever he faces

Paul Wykes lost again! He's my local player, though I'm pretty sure not for much longer as far as the main tour is concerned.

Had a great chance to qualify a couple of years ago, reaching the last qualifying round – in fact the list of Crucible players (and this is extreme trivia!) could have been extended at both ends of the alphabet – Shokat Ali also was in the final quals but lost.

                  LOL
Another gem from TS. Are there any players who could extend the alphabeticity of the Crucible list this year ?

Now that Wykes is out, that possibility is in the hands once again of Shokat Ali – he is Judd Trump's next opponent.

I'm confused, you have two contradictory posts here! Has Ali lost or not?!

He was talking about Ali losing in the final qualifying round a few years ago Lagermike, he's not lost (yet) this year

Why did Robin Hull pull out of the WC qualifying?

Must be something serious if he withdraws from the most important tournament of the year. Whatever it is, I hope all turns out well.
