Yes, its likely to be one of the key matches of the tournament in deciding who the eventual winner will be.

Ronnie surely owes Robertson a beating by now, and there could be no better time to get his revenge.

It's unfortunate that we will have to loose one of the strongest players, and a potential winner so early.

Who knows, we might lose one of them or even both already in the first round... depending on the draw

I hope not. Though of course you are right, especially if they are unlucky enough to draw someone like Ding or Day in the first round.

              Valderie, today is March 12th!

The final qualifying round is still to be played this week, so the draw can't be made before next week obviously.

LOL Valderie! Similar things have happened to me. I don't think it's got anything to do with age. It's quite annoying when it happens... but also very funny afterwards.

"The first round draw is being made next Monday but will not be revealed until the next day."

Wonder if this is accurate info, and if so is this incase they cock it up again and cannot be trusted to do a live draw without making a mess of it.

Obviusly so it can be a fix. Hmmm I wonder if Murphy or O'Sullivan or one of the untouchables will be playing Ding then? I doubt it!

Seems a bit strange - surely if it's being done on Breakfast Time it should be shown live!

All I can say is that World Snooker are treading on dodgy ground if they make the draw and then announce it the day after. Questions must be asked firstly why, and secondly every year for as long as I can remember the draw has always been made 'live', mainly on TV during Grandstand and on radio for the first time last year.

As we all know there was a bit of controversy last year as it seemed that there was a mistake made in the draw and later covered up.
As already mentioned people are certainly suspicious towards some sort of conspiracy, especially as they won't want a repeat of last years final. It certainly gets you thinking, perhaps a fixing of the draw isn't as unlikely as we think.

I mentioned it elsewhere but put the house on Ding vs Ronnie round one, dead cert in my book

Is it not typical, there is nowhere to find the official announcement of the draw. If i google it, it comes up with the snookerforum or snooker scene blog hits. Nothing on Worldsnooker. Typical for this organisation. Some years ago they gave us a nice warm up with the draw being made in the Grandstand studio, some players and pundits around to give their comments. To make the draw somewhere in a backroom and then announce it in breakfast news seems suspicious. Maybe they want to prevent another ebdon - dott style final as it was not a all seats capacity last time.

Off topic: I always rated the BBC news programmes highly but off late it develops into a Kindergarten, the presenters trying to be funny and witty. Especially on breakfast news, especially the clown who was in strictly come dancing. He is still ranting about it after 2 years!

So how will they do it, will the draw just be posted up or will some sort of silly 'faux live' draw be done?
