Too true davis greatest type character. We have been robbed of a repeat of the classic 1991 semi final in which Parrott triumphed 16-11 of course. It would have been interesting to have seen these two play over 33 frames, I wonder how they would have adapted to that?!

I don't think Parrott is going to roll over against Steve. I think 10-6 to Steve.
There is no way Parrott will allow himself to be heavily beaten by Steve

Davis will take that one comfortably.

What a shame, that O´Sullivan and Ding is going to meet each other so soon.

I am so glad O'Sullivan has drawn Ding as I hope he gets knocked out. Both times he has lost in the opening round the tournament has been thrilling. (And Williams won it both occasions maybe worth a bet again if Ding wins)

Trump versus Murphy will be interesting. Trumps lack of tournamnet play and first time nerves could be telling.

Then again his potting might outclass the smurf.

Who will be the first big name to crash out of the championships. I think it will be Mark Williams, his form is poor and I think Joe Swail will beat him 10-7

Looking forward to the Davis/Parrott match I know most people are saying Davis will win but I think either can win really. OK Davis has always been the better player, but Parrott's been playing alright lately too.

I just think it'll be a good match and I like both players alot so at least one of them will be in the 2nd round.
Whether Parrott wins or not, he's had a good season, and he played well to get there.

Hilarious, we have a Ding - Ronnie match and on the other hand Steve against John in the same tournament, first round.

Like having a Manu - Chelsea match and also having a Woking - Weymouth match in the same league!!

Seems a bit harsh. Ding and O'Sullivan may at times collapse due to frustration, but they can still play well on their day. I'd hardly rate them equivalent to Conference National football clubs.

I would like to see Ronnie and ding playing in final, not in the first round!
