Is it luck or judgement that arguably the four biggest names, Parrott, Mcmanus, Ding, Wattana (fame not form) are split on one per day?

              Ian McCulloch 5-1 Dominic Dale
Robert Milkins 4-4 Mark Allen ( that is quick!)
David Gray 3-2 John Parrott (and this match is slow)

ian had to qualify he was so unlucky last year after he should have been in the top 16

although what a shame i then would be unable to see what dale would be wearing which is always good for a laugh

I would say coincidence, since the four days seem to match the four quarters of the drawsheet. I mean, it is not as if they have hand-picked the matches; each quarter is on one day.

Parrott was in first in the eighth, with 48 or somesuch, when 4-3 down - could turn out to be an important moment in the match.

Scores at end of first session

                              Ian McCulloch 7-2 Dominic Dale
                              Robert Milkins 4-5 Mark Allen
                              Ryan Day 6-3 John Parrott
                              Mark Selby 4-5 Ricky Walden

Dominic is in big trouble and a good comeback by Walden.
