  • re selling of tickets

Hi! I've got tickets to matches on the first weekend of the tournament - a couple on the saturday and sunday morning and evening. not surprisingly, both matches on the sunday afternoon are sold out on the sheffield theatre website - ronnie v ding and davis v parrott.

As I will be up there in sheffield, I would like to see either match if possible - I know they re sell the tickets if returned - its highly unlikely that anyone will return tickets to these matches - but what do people who go regularly think? any chance of me picking up a ticket on the day?

alternatively, if I can't get a ticket where's the best place to watch the afternoon's match?

    ta!

forgot to add - I do know tickets are available on ebay but I don't want to get them off there.

i would think there is a good chance its not certain but its been very rare for every seat to be full even for the top matches

just get there early enough and you could well be lucky

      hope you get them

Also, it's an element of chance. Ring them daily.

Look at it this way: I find I can't go, so I resell the ticket to the box office. This could happen at any time, so the next person who asks for one will be lucky. There's no telling when this will be, so you should contact them often!

Good point, and that is certainly true, although (of course) the presence of empty seats does not always mean that tickets are available. Many people have tickets and, for one reason or another, don't attend. A scandal!

          Good luck in the search!

Thanks for the advice. As I'll be up there I'm going to try and see if the box office has any more tickets left. Fingers crossed!!
