  • Question for Statman

Maybe some of you others can help me with this, however I know how much of a crucible expert statman is!
I was wondering if you could tell me which seats in the auditorium are those that have a view of both tables?

The players' seats each side of the divider!

Oh, Sorry, I am not Statman.

I guess it is around seat number 25 till 35, RED DOOR. as this is the door entering the venue at the baulk side. The row is academic.

If the numbered seating hasn't changed since I last went to the Crucible about 7-8 years ago I would say approximately seat number 40 is towards the centre of the 2 tables, but i'm sure somebody will be able to clarify.

There are 15 rows. (from A to O) I dont know if any letter from the alfabet is excluded. The capacity is around 900. thatl leaves 60 per row. Down the middle would be 30. thats how i came to 25/35. Also we have to consider that in the upper rows are more seats available than the lower rows.

            Can you still follow this?

Rows C and D are about seats 26-30. Of course as you go further back (a) there are more seats per row so the numbers will be higher and (b) there are more seats that have a view of both tables.

At Row A it is only seats 18 and 19 that have a view of both.

There is no Row I, and there is no seat A1 (or B1 I think).

Can you actually have a sight from row O on both tables, sitting at the length of the table. Viewing over the divider?

No you can't. It's a bit of an optical illusion, but the dividing wall is too tall.

PS My descriptions above of seats you can view is referring to a view of the whole of both tables.
