          • I dont mind Mark Allen winning. He is a breath of fresh air. Its what snooker needs, young talent coming through. He also seems jovial and natural. Best of luck Mark.

            • I agree. So far he's been about the only profit by this year's World Championship.

I wouldn't mind either PTS, but not at the expense of Doherty! With no McManus to cheer on this year my support lies with Eire's finest!

                • yes, I saw a couple of frames in this game and thought that Mark Allen looked really convincing. Well, one was this 147 attempt, some great shots in there... well done Mark! I wouldn't mind him winning either (against my predictions, but these are crap anyway this time)

                  • I know it's early doors still but I have just been looking at the draw and surely now the finalist from that half has to be Ronnie or John Higgins.

I think the bottom half is more unpredictable with Ebdon, Stevens, Doherty, Hendry and Murphy all being potential finalists.

I agree, I can see McCulloch having a nice run to the semis again like in 2005

                        • Mark Allen playing really well and looking very determined. In fact that' s what we need, some young, fresh, attacking players. I hope he goes far.
I saw that going differently in my mind
