  • Doherty v Allen 6-7 and tea break.

This looks like it might get exciting after all!

Williams v Swail are at 2-0, Williams at the table and potting at 25-25.

Edit: hmpf. Turned the names around but not the scores

    • Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it 7-6 to Allen?

Anyway, it isn't a good match as far as quality is concerned but it's quite unpredictable, which also makes matches exciting. Some of those misses were howlers!

lol, Maija (good to have you back btw.). I am happy to be so popular this tournament! I am definitely looking forward to that session today. All walking, cleaning and cooking has been done already (ah, it helps to have a holiday), come on snooker!
Yeah and Hendo, dont let me down here (nah, no chance!)

        Yes, Allen has the lead!

        • It's now 7 a piece. Doherty levelled the score with the first century of the match. It was about time. And he also took the lead of the century list with this nice 135 clearance. Finally some fluency in the match!

          • @snookersfun: Cheers I've also prepared the food and done everything to ensure that watching the Stephens later on will happen without any interruption. Woe to the family member that should complain that I'm not cooking because of snooker.

Williams seems to have found some form somewhere. He's 4-0 up on Swail, though that score line is a bit on the flattering side for Williams.

Half-century and still potting for Allen. Mon Allen! I don't mind losing a point there.

            • Probably gonna be 8-7 to Allen in a second. Ken needs 3 snookers.

I know I'm not great at predicting but if you ask me, this match has 'decider' written all over it. (Please, destiny, don't let me down!)

Yes, Allen took another frame, flirting shamelessly with the audience the way he potted the pink and the black

Agree on the decider. Good thing I have no history of heart problems in the family.

                • Can't see it here, but when Trump started to display flair in the 11th frame to go 6-5 up against Murphy, after that Murphy knuckled down and Judd Trump started to show the dreaded nerves.

At 8-7 up, will Mark Allen keep it together - I hope so, but we'll see.

                  • Oh, I love deciders! They are usually sooo scrappy.

Shame, I have to leave in 15 mins. At least, I don't have to listen to all these allusions to "Which pairs of Irish eyes are smiling?" any more...

                    • Allen seems on a nice break right now, come on! 38 and going
off to TV for a bit....

                      • One more thing, I don't think I've ever seen a match where there were fewer balls rattling in the jaws and eventually dropping in. Quite on the fence, these balls!!!

                        • Doherty v Allen 7-10. (Hope I got it right now *g*)

Congrats to Mark Allen! Wow, absolutely a great match to watch.

Joe Swail seems to have had a strong cuppa: Williams v Swail 4-1 (0-52)

                          • I come into work, get the live scoring set up and everything, only to find Ken has lost 10-7! Why do I bother?

Still, credit to Allen, looks like he played well.

I suppose my support is now with Hendry for the rest of the tourney...
