  • Stephen needs to work on his safety. It really could have been 8-1

            • Yay Stephen Lee playing well is good
You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman

              • Stephen seems to have gained even more weight since the last time I watched him play....If he continues in that rate, he will have to use the rest in every shot he takes.....
                Come on Jimmy!!!!

                • Dear me, I've just now turned on the TV and I was just thinking the same a propos of Stephen Lee... he is so B.I.G.

OK, not a very qualified statement this, I admit, but that was the first thing that struck me

Marcel Proust had an haddock! If you're calling the author of 'A la recherche du temps perdu' a looney, I shall have to ask you to step outside!

                  • but on the other hand, he played so well that I hardly noticed he is big. he's dancing around the table like a big butterfly and even though he has to play some shots with rest, he does those shots very well.

                      • April, I hadn't even seen him play when I turned on the TV, but it just struck me when I did that he seems to have gotten even bigger since we last saw him. It always amazes me how he manages to play difficult shots, having to lean way onto the the table and such. It must be hindering to a certain extent. I agree about his fluency though, as I love to watch him play.

PS: May I say this: GO MARK! I've just watched for a little bit, but this is his best perfomance this season, I think... some amazing shots!

It's not over til it's over... but it looks on the road to 'over and out' for ManU.

edit: Sorry for being totally off-topic! I'll make amends and say... Come on... er... I don't think I have any favourites in this session. So... well... Williams is doing better now at the moment!

                            It 2-2 now.
And I'm constantly switching TV channels between football and snooker...both commentaries are equally terrible.

Are you getting German commentary? I'm getting Dominic Dale and some other guy (can't remember the name), so the snooker commentary is WAY better than the soccer commentary on the Austrian channel (even Kalb is a blessing compared to it). Hence, I'm watching more snooker at the moment. Still, 2-2 isn't the best result ManU could have wished for. Yet they are not playing with their Number 1 Team I've been told.

Anyway... at least we know when the soccer is over!
