I think this is a very encouraging result for Hendry. He played poor bar his safety play but he still won relatively comfortable at 10-7. He also has the luxory of not having to play one of the favourites at least until the quarter finals. He will raise his game for his next game and I think if it had been a higher ranked player than Carter or Hicks then he would have been in danger but I think he can get through.

Nina: if watching Hendry playing today disapppointed you, and as a fellow Hendry fan I can understand that, you don't really want to watch the tape from yesterday
I quite fancy Robertson to go a long way too. He'll have to fine-tune his game a bit, as it seems, but I haven't really paid too much attention to the details in of this session.
Too many interesting games on at once!Das war ein FLUKE! Ein Glückstreffer!

Oh I'm prepared for the worst, don't worry!
Such interesting matches at once indeed, I need time off work for this!
As for Robertson, I'm pretty sure he can and will beat Day, but then he won't manage in the match against Ronnie. Just a gut feeling, I'm curious to see how things will turn out!

I'd certainly fancy Hendry to beat Hicks but Carter's dangerous. I think he's beaten Hendry more times than not, and has been in reasonable form lately.
What Alex says is true though, the result might lift him. The last time I saw Hendry play like that was in a tight first round against Dave Harold in the UK. He played some of his best snooker following that match.

And in the Grand Prix QF as well. Both times this season when Robertson beat ROS in the QFs, he went on to win the title. That's an omen right there, maybe?
