  • Hamilton won 13-8 Shocking result after so tough battle.
Maguire 12-8 Swail. Looks like another 13-8 score here lol
Stevens 9-7 Allen. Well done Matthew, keep the pace
Hendry 2-2 Carter. Well done Stephen I think he really uplifted his form since his poor match with Gilbert

        • yesss! Stephen #1 is through despite that scare by Swail (poor Swail though, two 147 attempts, great play as well and nothing from it.

Stephen #2, looks like I didn't reach him yet... but wow, Ali Carter playing at 99% pot success, so no small feat.

Can't you try to hook up that mental link? An improvement in the safety department would be appreciated!

              • Good Evening all!

Anyone watching Higgins-O'Brien? I'm with the Stevens-Allen game on eurosport (with the Kalb&whatshisname-dreamteam ) so any impressions would be appreciated

PS: On the other hand, if Stevens keeps this pace up I might get so see some Higgo...

Marcel Proust had an haddock! If you're calling the author of 'A la recherche du temps perdu' a looney, I shall have to ask you to step outside!

John just missed another 147 in the last frame, with three reds left.

1-1 so far. John's at the table with 0 points, Fergal has 16. Cue safety play.

Have fun with Rolf and Thomas

                  • lol - Do I detect a little sarcasm there Maija?

Thanks for the update! On the one hand, I'm of course not happy about the missed 147, but on the other hand I'm glad he's not YET done one as I would not have been able to watch it...

By the wy: you know the feeling of having been sitting with your legs crossed yoga-like for a long time and then suddenly getting up and not realising your leg's fallen completely asleep? Well, I just did that

                    • I never do sarcasm! And yes, I know that feeling, I normally sit like that in front of the puter too!

Still in frame 3, John has had some bad luck (I'm not biased, not at all), it's 47 - 21, two reds left, sorta lousily psishened. Fergal is snookered and fouls the black... 54 - 21 and John has lovely position. I suppose he'll take the frame now. Only black is off its spot. 62-21

Mark Allen is fighting, though! Mon Mark!

                      Edit: 2 - 1 indeed!
And Matthew v Mark Allen 11-9!

Heey, don't diss Musikantenstadtl, it is highly entertaining. Ethnic.

Did anyone else see the interview with Fergal O'Brien? Aww, he loves snooker so much he gets teased by the other players... "Snooker's not what I do, it's who I am." How darned cute is that?

Anyway, frame four: 4-7 and safeties.

@Sarmu: that their partners both are snooker players at a high level too. Allen's gf being the reigning world champ for ladies, and O'Brien's wife (?) being a former Irish champ or something.
