  • I saw Higgins playing for about 1/2 h yesterday evening and really refusing to take on (easy) pots - going safe all the time. Boring stuff for a saturday evening.
I saw that going differently in my mind

He seemed to be quite angry about the condition of the table, so maybe he just tried to do what seemed best to him under the circumstances. But I agree, the match was boring, I fell asleep in between

Safety is cool too sometimes..and most importantly, he leads 6-2..I don't care much about boring or not then

        • the match Higgy V Fergal got a bit bogged down a short while after the 147 attempt by Higgy.

...was a mixed bag of misses, safety and unpredictable kicks and "bounce-offs"

          • At least the tables have been recovered overnight and hopefully they will have sorted out the terrible bounces off the cushions. It can't be nice for a player to be playing really well, only to be made to look stupid because they cannot trust the table.

Higgins deserves a lot of praise because it seems like that table is the only one of the two that has been playing poorly. Also it seems like its only the evening sessions that the table plays like this, it never seems so bad in the morning session!

            • 3-1 to Selby, yaaaaay!!!!
3-1 Ronnie (on this one I am a kind of split personality, they are my number 1 and two, so one eye one eye)

Let's hope for a decider and a final black, eh?

It's been enjoyable so far. Good start to a snookery day!

                • Jesus Christ Robertson why don't you just hand him the bloody match! This is probably going to be yet another total dissapointment.

                  • and 4-3 to Ebdon, here's hoping for a 4-4 there

and yes, on the bright side of this snooker afternoon, it is indeed 4-4, (although Ebdon seemed willing to go for several snookers here)

                      • Huh? There's been a fire alarm at the Crucible, and all they've done is shushing the players back to their dressing rooms, leave the audience in their seats and try to check if they find some fire?

                        Wha'?

                          • After Fergal O'Brien taking the first frame (ooooh sooo slowly), Higgins seems to be flying now! It is lovely to watch, high-quality snooker indeed!

                            Juuuust missed a century with a 98 and 8-3.

Lots later: 10-4 with a 135 break from John

That was lovely snooker. Bring ROS on. He'll have a hard time keeping up with this John.
