Dott seems a totally different player since his China Open success. I don't know whether its the pressure of being defending champion or not but he is playing very scrappy snooker not too disimiliar to last years World Final. Come On Graeme!

A scrappy frame and a break of 30 wasnt enough for mcCullock, he ran out of position in that break a few times and missed a easy red with the rest.. After a bit of safety, Dott then went on to clear the colours to take a 2 frame lead in the match.

Unbelievably both last years champion and runner up are both losing their matches after the first session on day one..

peter ebdon was leading 4-0, only for Nigel bond to win the next 5 frames to lead 5-4

Dott was also leading at an early stage 4 frames to 2 only to see McCulloch win the next 3 frames and lead 5-4 also...
