  • Well done Parrott

First match he's one at the Crucible since 2000, and the first time he's been in the Last 16 since the Welsh Open 2005!

Can't wait for his match against Murphy/Trump.

Congrats! One particular member will be very pleased. i doutbt he will get much further! If iits Murphy he'll get steamrolled. If Its Trump he could be in with a shout. Crucible nerves for the youngster.

Well done Parrott. I always thought he would win and I don't know why I didn't predict it. Hoepfully if he is playing Murphy he gives him a damn thrashing or else we will probably hear another one his stories about chasing Parrott for an autograph.

I actually hope Trump will beat Murphy somehow!

and no, I for one don't hate Parrott, just like Steve more and based on ranking and previous performance one had to give Davis the edge

I forgot, yes a bit grudgingly, but well done J.P.!

To be honest I don't think there are many JP haters. The predictions are just subjective stuff, you can't tell from those that I, for example, hate JP if I have favoured Davis to win the match

I quite like Parrott, I would have wanted him to win if Steve hadn't been his opponent. I just wanted Steve to get some ranking points...

Tense stuff. Did anyone see JP mouthing off at someone in the final frame when Davis needed a snooker? What was that about?

Anywhy well done John but you'll have to play better in the next round

I think it was his wife saying she'll bring the car round and pick him up outside the main entrance. J.P was simply reminding her that the frame wasnt over yet.

a great match and more importantly a match played to a high standard. i had a feeling before it started there would be very few breaks over 50 and it would take them forever to finish it

                  glad i was proved wrong!!

                    From the BBC
"John Parrott denies deliberatly attempting to foul during the last frame of his 10-9 win over Steve Davis at the Snooker World Championship."
What is that all about? The sound quality of the video clip is so bad that I don't understand anything. I also didn't see this part of the last frame...

                      Gutted Steve Lost..

I cant see Parrott going any further in the competition, Steve played well but missed too many easy shots.

I stay on the fence with the deliberate foul incident, as i feel John knew exactly what he was going

Anyone know where Parrott will be on the ONE-Year-ranking list if he loses to Murphy/Trump?

Parrott's already played Trump twice, and lost 3-0(GP Group qualifiers) and 5-4(China Open).

Can't really see Parrott beating either to be honest. Dont think Parrott's ever played Murphy, not in a Pro match anyway

Jp was leading the frame by quite a few points...The red was over the pocket, jp was on the black he coudnt pot the black so he hit the black onto the red to try to move the red away from the pocket..

If the red had of went in he would of sacrificed 7 points but the Commentators said it would of been a deliberate fowl and very unsporting if that had of happened..

The red never went in anyway but it was a big talking point in the commentry box.
